Cut and Paste Collage Tutorial

I make art as well as print it. I am asked often to explain what I do. Four years ago, I was invited to write a tutorial for an art journal about to explain the process making digital cut and paste collage. This was my rough draft, using The Return of Arthur, which would later be awarded Epilogue's Editor's Choice. It was written for non-Photoshop users, so I tried to avoid talking about things that cause eyes and minds to quickly cloud over (for example, alpha, layer, and channel masks). Click for PDF.
